Job Title: Financial Accountant
JOB SUMMARY:
Main purpose of position:
  • We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in accounting and hold a SAIPA accreditation or equivalent. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, the successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reporting and other duties.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in accordance with SA GAAP and IFRS
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analyze financial data and produce monthly financial statements and reports
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws
  • Provide support to the finance team as needed
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting
  • SAIPA accreditation or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
